The tournament is organized by the Emirates Chess Federation on an annual basis for the categories of ages 8,10, 12, 14, and 16 years old. The tournament recorded turnout of clubs, sometimes exceed the 120-player. This championship is deemed the true measure adopted for the nomination of players to represent the UAE in the Arab and continental Championships, each according to his age group. Abu Dhabi Chess and Culture Club has been organizing this championship for the second year in raw.


The tournament also plays a significant and immense role in discovering many talents among the young.
